Catalina Dive Trip, July 2012, a set on Flickr.
I took a trip on the Truth, a boat out of Santa Barbara. This was the annual Channel Island trip put on by the Northern California Rainbow Divers. A great LGBT dive club in the Bay Area. We had a good time, although the visibility at times was not that great. The best dive of the trip was by far Farnsworth Bank which is a pinnacle about two miles off shore. It isn’t a beginners dive site with the rock sitting at 60 feet and then dropping way into the depths. But it was really great — saw 3 different nudibranch and got the luck of having an octopus landing right near me at the end of the dive.
Here you can see the best of my photos from this trip
