#fitbit This week I bought a new device called a fitbit. (fitbit.com) I carry it around in my pocket and measures steps during the day — its the 21st C pediometer.
In addition to that, you can also go to sleep with it in sleep mode and it measures you sleep patterns. It works on the principle that if you are in deep sleep then you aren’t moving. Having worn it for a couple of nights, I think it is pretty accurate in recording my activity.
